Meet James Carson

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.  Where is your hometown?

I’m a father of two boys and the husband of the lovely and talented, Brenda Carson.  I’m originally from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, but grew up mostly in NYC.  I currently live in Hillsborough County, Florida with my wife and youngest son.  I’m the 5th son to my parents, one of whom recently passed away (R.I.P. Mom).  My Mom was a decorated retired NYPD Det. and my dad is a retired military Navy Seal and NYC MTA operator with over 40 yrs. of service.

Tell us three things that most people do not know about you.

1.) I’m terrified of mimes. 2.) I know how to speak some German. 3.) I’m a philanthropist.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? What do you like to do on your days off?

My favorite hobbies are surrounded by speed, like cars or motorcycles, or any sport that truly tests an individual’s constitution, like boxing, tennis, MMA, triathlons, etc.

What is your role at Legal Shred?

I’m a Driver/Shred Technician at Legal Shred of Florida.

Before working at Legal Shred, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

My most unusual job before working at Legal Shred was my very short career as an alligator wrestler at one of Mid-Florida’s attractions know as “Gatorland,” located in Kissimmee, Florida.

What do you like the most about Legal Shred?

As far as what I like most about working at Legal Shred, it would be unfair to try to single out any one thing.  I’m actually hard pressed to find anything that I don’t like about the company.  From the administration, to my counterparts out in the field, everyone is totally awesome.  Jason and Sean are great guys who are very fair with their employees.  The dispatch staff is totally awesome, as well.  Kim, Jessica, Taran and Peggy really rock and I can write a book on how awesome Shawn M. is and what a pleasure it is to work with her. George and Tommy (drivers) are both great guys who have infectious smiles that just make my mornings, when we happen to have start times that coincide. And last, but certainly not least, is my guy, Scott. Scott is like a big brother to me and one of the sharpest minds that I’ve ever known. We seem to all have great chemistry together and we all compliment each other’s strong points.  It’s an honor to be on this team!!
