Meet Roberto Garcia

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.  Where is your hometown?  

I was born in the Dominican Republic.  I came to the U.S. in 1993 and I lived in Brooklyn.  After high school, I joined the Navy for 3 years. After I completed my years in the Navy, I decided to partner with my father and run our family restaurant.  I learned how to cook and manage the business. I had my first son in 1999 with my first wife.  Years later in 2004, I met my wonderful wife, Gessel. We live in Island Park with our two children.  

Tell us three things that most people do not know about you.

1.)  I am a veteran.  2.) I’ve been around the world, and probably been to at least 40 States.  3.) l like to collect shot glasses and coins.

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? What do you like to do on your days off?

I love seeing my kids play sports and spending time with my family, traveling and seeing the world, and I love to cook.

What is your role at Legal Shred?

I am a driver and shred specialist for Legal Shred.

Before working at Legal Shred, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I used to work in sales for a beer company. I got to travel to many states and learn about different markets.
