DAYTON —

A disgruntled employee at a local trucking company is suspected of breaking into the business and stealing personnel documents.

A supervisor at A Plus Expediting and Logistics Inc., 1931 Neva Drive, reported that a suspended employee was seen entering the business through an unlocked door and going to the office Thursday night where confidential employee and company documents are stored, according to Dayton police records.

Police said the man was captured on surveillance video removing documents from a metal filing cabinet. A company official told police the theft has jeopardized their employees’ personal information and, because accounts and shipping orders were taken, the company’s ability to pass a state transportation audit.

Company officials told police the suspended employee was going to be fired for misuse of company information and for tampering with delivery schedules, according to records.
