National Small Business Week – May 2-5, 2022 – We’re celebrating National Small Business Week to honor all those business owner’s for their efforts and celebrate their successes.
Small businesses make up a large part of the U.S. economy. In the last few years, with a global pandemic and shutdowns, these start-ups and entrepreneurs have had to navigate some of the roughest waters seen historically. Now as businesses are working to rebuild, many are leading the charge to push workforces forward.
This week we’re celebrating National Small Business Week to honor all those business owners for their efforts and celebrate their successes.
May 2-5, 2022 is the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) National Small Business Week which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
They are hosting a virtual summit for the week and encouraging others to participate in educational workshops and networking events that help them to grow, find new opportunities and find access to critical federal resources to support their small businesses.
This year’s theme, “Building a Better America Through Entrepreneurship” looks specifically at the, “resilience and tenacity of America’s entrepreneurs who are doing their part to power our nation’s historic economic comeback.”
According to the SBA, there are currently 31.7 million small businesses in the U.S. These range from businesses that have no employees to those with paid employees. In comparison, there are 20,139 large businesses.
This is a week that has been celebrated for more than 50 years, but this year is special in particular because of all that business owners have faced over the last few years.
We want to send special recognition out to all of our small business clients, customers, colleagues and industry friends. We know what it’s been like for you to weather the storm of the last few years and you have all shown up and made it through and we are incredibly proud to continue to serve you and provide critical paper shredding services to protect your data and private information.
